Agincourt Reef is at the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Here there are special reefs known as ‘ribbons’ which run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Next to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognized as incredibly pristine eco-systems . Moreover, the clear water from the Coral Sea provides the best possible underwater visibility.
Also it encourages rich coral growth and supports an abundance of diverse marine life. Thus Agincourt Reef is perfect for scuba diving.
